Iran Targets Bahrain with Drones in Response to US Strikes, Condemnations Issued by Bahrain, UAE, and Kuwait
MIDDLE EAST — Iranian drone activity targeted Bahrain territory early on June 27. The Bahrain Foreign Ministry said that the activity constituted “a flagrant violation of its sovereignty, a blatant threat to the safety of citizens and residents, and a blatant breach of international laws.”

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the drone attacks by Iran that targeted Bahrain. It also called the attacks “a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and a threat to its security and stability.”

Kuwait’s Foreign Ministry issued a statement on June 27 strongly condemning the Iranian drone attacks on Bahrain as “a blatant violation of its sovereignty and international law.” The Kuwaiti ministry noted that continuation of the attacks undermines ongoing regional de-escalation efforts.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps stated it had targeted US-linked positions in Bahrain in response to US strikes on Iranian missile, drone, and radar facilities and warned that if repeated, its response will be broader.

UKMTO Warning 076-26 - ATTACK, June 27, 2026
The UK Maritime Trade Operations issued Warning 076-26 on June 27, 2026, reporting an incident within the Strait of Hormuz.

The master of a tanker reported being struck by an unidentified projectile. The vessel sustained damage to the bridge; all crew are reported safe. No environmental damage was reported at present.
Vessels are advised to transit with caution and report any suspicious activity to UKMTO. Authorities are investigating.
Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Statement (translated from Persian), June 27, 2026
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran issued a statement condemning the attacks by the United States on Iranian southern coastal facilities.
The statement described the US actions as a violation of the ceasefire agreement and memorandum of understanding that ended the war.
It stated that the US targeted Iranian territory with missiles and drones in breach of commitments. The ministry affirmed Iran’s right to defend itself and called for accountability for the violation of the agreement.

Iran bears sole responsibility for undermining regional peace efforts through its continued aggression.” Bahrain said the attack violated the June Islamabad memorandum of understanding, under which Iran had committed to a permanent halt to military operations and to respect the sovereignty of regional states. It said it reserved its full right under international law to defend its sovereignty, security and stability, and called on the UN Security Council to ensure implementation of its resolution and hold the aggressor accountable. Bahrain noted the drones likely targeted US facilities.

Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps statement via Iranian state media, June 27: Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said it had targeted several locations “of the U.S. terrorist army in the region,” including positions in Bahrain, in retaliation. It added: “If the aggression is repeated, our response will be broader than this.”
