Russia Says Justified In Responding To US Troops Deployment
MOSCOW - Russia stated on Thursday that it would be "absolutely justified" in responding to the Pentagon's deployment of 3,000 troops to Poland, Romania and Germany. Meanwhile the leader of Belarus stated "I will do everything so that Ukraine becomes ours. She is our Ukraine" according to The Washington Post.
'We keep asking our U.S. counterparts to stop escalating tensions on the European continent" Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated. "Regretfully, the Americans are continuing to do so".
The Biden administration has accused Russia of planning to fabricate a false flag, or fake news in order to create an excuse for an invasion on Ukraine.
One such accusation by Washington claims that Russia is planning on creating a graphic video with a fake explosion which may be blamed on weapons provided to Ukraine by the United States, showing corpses with crying actors, presumably for emotional effect.
"They have used [these] sorts of pretexts in the past to justify military action, and we think it will make it much more difficult to claim after the fact they had to do whatever they decided to do" White House principal deputy national security adviser Jon Finer stated during an interview with MSNBC.
Peskov however dismissed the accusations as false and said that the United States has made similar accusations before and nothing ever came out of it.
Meanwhile, Belarus, where once the leader Alexander Lukashenko stated "There will be no victory in such a war. Everyone will lose! Therefore, we do not want war. We have fought enough. Our people lost millions in past wars. We want to live and work in peace" now seems to be warming up to the idea of going to war to take Ukraine.
Lukashenko has now reportedly stated "I will do everything so that Ukraine becomes ours. She is our Ukraine. Those are our people. This isn’t emotion but my firm conviction".
But only just recently he had said "You mentioned Ukraine. God forbid we have to fight against this people, where it’s possible my own great-great-grandfathers’ roots are hidden. No way. I am a peaceful person and will give no such orders. And I hope — today I’m nearly certain — we will not fight".
