US Officials Gave Taliban List Of Names Of Americans And Afghan Allies To Evacuate
WASHINGTON - U.S. officials gave a list of names of Americans and Afghan allies to evacuate to Taliban terrorists in Afghanistan. One Defense Official who asked to remain anonymous has called it a 'kill list' according to POLITICO.
Biden administration officials gave the Taliban a list of names of U.S. citizens, green card holders and the names of Afghan allies and interpreters to grant their entry through the Taliban checkpoints and into the Kabul international airport and was supposedly designed to speed up the evacuation process.
This comes as the Biden administration began relying heavily on the Taliban for securing the airport perimeter and holding back the crowd of Afghans attempting to enter the airport.
The reliance on the Taliban to provide security began shortly after a Secret Meeting between the CIA and the Taliban, after which the Taliban began not allowing Afghans through their security checkpoints to get into the airport for evacuation.
Not long after the U.S. began heavily relying on the Taliban for securing the airport perimeter, several suicide bombers somehow successfully made it through the Taliban checkpoints with explosives, in spite of the fact that many Americans and Afghan allies were turned away from the checkpoints and unable to get into the airport to evacuate.
Upon making it through to the airport, the bombers detonated the explosives leaving more than a hundred people killed, including 13 U.S. servicemen and scores of people wounded.
The anonymous defense official stated regarding the list of names given, "Basically, they just put all those Afghans on a kill list. It’s just appalling and shocking and makes you feel unclean".
When Biden was asked by a reporter about the list, Biden didn't admit or deny that one had existed saying that he doesn't know, but 'there may have been' one.
This new information comes on the heels of reports that the Taliban have been going door to door in Afghanistan looking for Americans and anyone who helped the U.S. military during the war. There were also reports that those who were found to have helped the U.S. were hanged on the spot by Taliban militants.
Republican Senator Marsha Blackburn tweeted, "Absolutely reckless and horrific. The Biden Administration gave the Taliban a kill list while lying to us, saying they didn’t have details on every name and whereabouts. Every single person involved must resign or be impeached".
