Israeli Ship Attacked With Missiles Off Coast Of UAE After Natanz Attack
UAE - Israeli ship has been attacked with missiles off the UAE coast after Iran vows revenge for a recent attack on their Natanz nuclear facility. An attack which they promptly attributed to being carried out by Israel, stating that if Iran determines Israel was behind the attack, "then Israel will get its response and will see what a stupid thing it has done."
No injuries have been reported in the attack on the cargo ship, which was named 'Hyperion Ray' and on its way to UAE from Kuwait but the missile strike caused a minor amount of damage on the ship's hull.
Lately Israel and Iran have been engaged in a tit for tat 'shadow war' where two Israeli cargo ships were damaged by Iran - one in the Gulf of Oman, as well as one that was traveling to India, and an Iranian 'spy' ship called "Saviz" was hit by a Limpet mine in the Red Sea that Iran blames Israel for.
Government spokesman of Iran, Ali Rabiyee said on Tuesday, "Iran reserves the right to give the proper response to the Zionist regime’s act of sabotage in Natanz nuclear facility in right time and right place, we will not allow the enemies to achieve their political goals through such acts of terrorism."
Iranian foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif stated, "The Americans need to know that neither sanctions nor sabotage acts will be a tool for negotiations and they will only make the situation more difficult for them."
