Israel Ready To Strike Iran, Who Says Don't Test Us
ISRAEL - The Israeli defense minister says that Israel is ready to take action against Iran if tensions between the two countries continue to grow, after saying that they have "hard evidence" that Iran was behind the recent drone strike on an Israeli managed tanker.
U.S. Press Secretary Antony Blinken has pushed for a 'collective response' to the attack on the Mercer Street oil tanker that killed two people after both the United States and Israel found evidence that the 'suicide drone' that was used in the attack was Iranian.
"We are in very close contact, in coordination, with the United Kingdom, Israel, Romania and other countries. And there will be a collective response", Blinken said to reporters.
The Israeli Defense Minister, Benny Gantz stated, "Iran is seeking to present Israel with a multi-faceted challenge. It's obvious we are capable of doing a lot more, and we hope we won't be dragged into it".
Gantz was asked if Israel is ready to carry out a strike on Iran, Gantz said "Yes. Iran is a global and regional problem and an Israeli challenge. We state this clearly: Any foolish act against Iran will be met with a decisive response. Don’t test us."
Iranian ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh responded with, "In another brazen violation of international law, Israeli regime now blatantly threatens Iran with military action".
"We state this clearly: ANY foolish act against Iran will be met with a DECISIVE response. Don't test us", continued Khatibzadeh.
